Overview
On a quiet infill lot, this residence rises as a study in balance—modern yet timeless, refined yet warm. From the street, clean architectural lines give way to an inviting interior that unfolds room by room, where tradition and innovation meet in harmony. The vision was as ambitious as it was personal: to craft a family home that would celebrate the elegance of traditional forms while embracing the clarity and comfort of contemporary living.
Design Direction: Tradition Reimagined
The design philosophy at the heart of this project was a thoughtful fusion of past and present. Guided by principal designer Deanna Charron of Deanna Charron Designs, the interiors honour familiar silhouettes—camel-back sofas, tufted seating, tailored panel beds—reinterpreted through modern materials, finishes, and fabrics. The result is a home that feels curated, cohesive, and deeply personal.

Origin Story: Vision Meets Expertise
The project began not with indecision, but with clarity. The clients came to the table with a strong sense of style and a gallery of inspiration images. With early architectural and finish decisions already underway through Ace Lange Homes, the furnishing stage became the joyful opportunity to layer function with form.
Collaboration was the throughline. Ashley D’Amato guided the clients through builder applications and finishes, while Charron shaped the interiors’ navigational flow—lighting, millwork, and window coverings brought to life with Expressions At Home. The creative ecosystem expanded further with 1685 Kitchen Design Studio, whose cabinetry anchored the heart of the home. It was a partnership of trust, taste, and talent.

Process & Journey
The furnishing journey unfolded in tandem with the home’s construction. Selections from luxury manufacturers were made with intention, each piece chosen for its ability to honour tradition while embracing modern sensibility.
In the great room, the Willow sofa by Hickory Chair, designed by Suzanne Kasler, anchors the space with its dressmaker skirt and gentle curve, refreshed in a light-toned performance fabric that tempers elegance with everyday livability. Flanking it are Jules swivel chairs, their enveloping form and hand-tied suspension embodying quiet luxury.

Elsewhere, the mood deepens: a Kent Tufted Sofa in plush green velvet transforms the lounge into a moody retreat—part reading nook, part speakeasy. A classic Bernhardt wing chair in brown leather plays counterpoint, its heritage shape grounding the jewel-toned space. In the primary bedroom, a custom Alex Bed by Cottswood Collection softens aubergine-hued panel walls, marrying tradition with modern textile warmth.
The process was less about constraint and more about refinement—finalizing choices that echoed the family’s lifestyle. By mid-construction, major decisions were complete, ensuring that installation flowed seamlessly once the home was ready.

Delivery & Transformation
The installation was a moment of culmination—months of layered planning manifesting in hours of transformation. As furnishings took their place, the home came alive. Every detail reinforced the story of balance—heritage lines refreshed with modern materials, rich tones tempered with light finishes, spaces designed not just to impress, but to embrace. It stands as proof that when clients bring imagination, and designers bring expertise, the result transcends style into something enduring: a house that feels deeply, undeniably like home.
